At Flatirons Church, we believe that leadership isn’t accidental, it’s developed. For years, we’ve invested in growing leaders who are biblically grounded, emotionally healthy, and mission-driven. Now, we’re excited to take that commitment even further with the launch of the Flatirons Leadership Institute this fall.
A Purpose-Driven Pathway for Emerging Leaders
God has uniquely crafted each of us with potential, and many in our church are already influencing others through their homes, workplaces, and communities. Yet too often that potential goes untapped because there hasn’t been a structured way to grow in biblical depth and leadership skill.
That’s exactly why the Flatirons Leadership Institute exists. It’s a strategically designed training pathway that equips everyday followers of Jesus with the foundations, formation, and practical tools needed to lead with confidence and clarity. Whether you’re just beginning your leadership journey or sensing a call to deeper ministry, this Institute offers clear next steps for your growth.
What You’ll Experience
The Institute is:
Rooted in Scripture — Every part of the training is anchored in God’s Word.
Practical and Relevant — Designed to fit real life for working adults, not overwhelm it.
Led by Real Leaders — You’ll learn from leaders who are actively living out ministry and leadership in everyday life.
A Pathway with Purpose
The Flatirons Leadership Institute will consist of semester-based classes that move you from learning to living out your faith and influence. You’ll be able to choose from one or more of three certificate pathways based on where you are and where God is leading you:
1. Certificate in Biblical & Theological Foundations (CBTF)
This 20-week certificate helps you move from reading the Bible to understanding it and ultimately to living it out. You’ll build a strong foundation in Scripture and faith that empowers confident and grounded living.
2. Certificate in Christian Leadership Foundations (CLF)
Also 20 weeks, this certificate focuses on discipleship, spiritual formation, and servant leadership — helping you lead from who you are becoming, not just what you do. (Prerequisite: CBTF or equivalent biblical study.)
3. Certificate in Ministry Leadership (CML)
This certificate equips and affirms those sensing a calling to vocational ministry or leadership in church, nonprofit, or mission contexts. It combines biblical wisdom with practical leadership skill development. (Prerequisite: CBTF or equivalent.)
