Weekly Devotionals

Welcome to the Journey

Galatians 5:1 says, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

That’s the heartbeat of this initiative and this season. We believe God wants to do something in you before He does something through you. So, over the next few weeks, we’re asking you to slow down, lean in, and make space for Him to move.

Each week includes:

  • A short devotional

  • Reflection questions

  • A “5:01” Freedom Prayer

Why 5:01? We’re inviting you to set a daily reminder at 5:01 AM or 5:01 PM (or both). When it goes off, stop what you’re doing. Read Galatians 5:1. Pray the Freedom Prayer. Why? Because freedom doesn’t happen by accident. It takes intention. This rhythm is a reset–an anchor to remind you what’s true: Jesus sets people free. Full stop. The prayer changes each week. The goal doesn’t: Walk in the freedom He already won for you.

Week 1: Let Go of the Grind

I spent 20 years in the military, and somewhere along the way, I got really good at chasing performance. That’s what the culture teaches you: show up, grind hard, hit your marks and if you do it right, you move up. And I did. I earned the rank, collected the ribbons, built a name. I found a lot of my identity in being the guy who could get it done…

Sometimes it feels like being a Christian means trying not to mess up and keeping track of everything you're not allowed to do anymore…

Week 3: The Cost of Freedom

Helpless, hopeless, and filled with despair, I was certain that my life was over. I was 17 years old, lying on a hospital bed after an ambulance took me from the scene of a tragic car accident that killed my boyfriend, Donovan…

Week 4: Walk It out

Can we pause for a moment before diving into today’s devotion? I want to take this opportunity to express how proud I am of you - yes, YOU. I’m proud of you for showing up here diligently, seeking to embrace the freedom God has in store for you. Great job! Your obedience and commitment are shaking things up in the spiritual realm, and I am encouraged to see God continue to empower and equip you through your faith and obedience, guiding you into the freedom and victory He has for you.

Week 5: Shared Freedom

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Find your people”? It often comes up during life’s tough moments, when everything feels too heavy to carry on your own. While the world encourages us to be self-reliant, the truth is, we’re not meant to do it all alone. Let's be honest God has such good intentions for us and He knows who we need to surround ourselves with to grow exponentially…

Week 6: Live Free. Lead Free.

Do you ever wonder what you're supposed to do with the new life Jesus has given you? The moment you said ‘yes’ to Jesus, everything changed, so now what? I said yes to Jesus as a kid, and as my faith has grown into adulthood with me, God continues to show me He’s not just saved me from something, He’s calling me to something, and that’s been a purpose I never could have imagined. ..
